Fork & Spoon

For awhile now, I've been keeping my eyes out for something to hang on either side of the window in our breakfast nook. I recently found this fork and spoon at Hobby Lobby and snagged them on sale for just dollars a piece. I had seen a similar idea in the Pottery Barn catalog that caught my eye, but was definitely not in the budget, so I was excited to find these pieces for a fraction of the price! I think they have fun character and add a little bit of whimsy to our space. I also like that they are versatile pieces. If I ever want to move them to a different spot, they can be hung side by side or split up as they are now. I love finding a look I like for less!

I saw those at Hobby Lobby, too. They look perfect in the spot you chose!

How are your bulbs doing?

Have you seen the bluebonnets yet? Hwy. 290 heading toward Houston is just covered. (We went to Houston last weekend.) If you miss them in our area, north of here is a little behind us. Up around Inks Lake (near Burnet, TX) is gorgeous and about three weeks or so behind us. If you get on the TX Parks and Wildlife website, you can get a phone number for the park there and call - they'll tell you when would be a good time to visit. Closer to home, the Dell Webb retirment community in Georgetown has gorgeous, gorgeous landscaping (small waterfalls, ponds, paths, etc.) with beautiful spring flowers that make perfect backdrops for photos. I have quite a few friend who take their kids up there every spring for pictures.

Any word on when you'll be famous on television? I don't want to miss it!

Blessings!

I love those. I once had spoons and forks for drawers pulls in one of my houses. We just bent them into shape.
